Skiploom Crochet Pattern

Hello! Here's a fourth Pokemon in my series - Skiploom! I think he turned out super cute! I wish I had red safety eyes for his eyes but he's adorable nonetheless. The petals were a pain in my butt however! Who knew eight of the same tiny pattern over and over again would eventually get on my nerves. Again, please don't reproduce or sell my pattern without my permission and please tag me or comment here if you do end up making it, I'd love to see! Also I do have affiliate links at the beginning to link you guys to the materials I used to construct this baby. Igglybuff Crochet Pattern

Hello!

Here is my second Pokemon in my almost definitely long endeavor of Pokemon patterning. I chose Igglybuff because I impulse bought more yarn than the average person probably should ever buy and much of it was pink. Gotta use it up somehow! Again, please tag me or post in the comments here if you make this pattern, I'd love to see the little guys! Please credit it me if you make anything following my pattern, please don't distribute my pattern without my knowledge. Please comment below with any critiques you might have! Also I do have affiliate links to link you guys to the stuff I used to make my buddy!

You will need:

 Body

Everything is done in HDC (half double crochet) for the body

Row 1 :  (in pink) MR 7 [7]
Row 2 :  inc all around [14]
Row 3 : hdc, inc around [21]
Row 4 : 2 hdc, inc around [28]
Row 5 : 3 hdc, inc around [35]
Row 6 : 4 hdc, inc around [42]
Row 7 : 5 hdc, inc around [49]
Row 8 : 6 hdc, inc around [56]
Row 9 - 16 : hdc around [56]
Row 17 : 6 hdc, dec around [49]
Row 18 : 5 hdc, dec around [42]
Row 19 : 4 hdc, dec around [35]
Row 20 : 3 hdc, dec around [28]
Row 21 : 2 hdc. dec around [21]
Row 22 : hdc, dec around [14]
I stuffed most of the ball at this point so I wouldn't have to struggle with the tiny hole.
Row 23 : dec around [7]

Finish off and weave in ends.

Hair

Everything is done in HDC (half double crochet) for the hair pieces

Starting with the large ball in the center:

Row 1 : (in pink) MR 6 [6]
Row 2 : inc all around [12]
Row 3 : hdc, inc around [18]
Rows 4-6 : hdc around [18]
Row 7 : hdc, dec around [12]

Finish off and weave in ends

Make two of the small balls on the sides :

Row 1 : (in pink) MR 6 [6]
Row 2 : inc all around [12]
Rows 3-4 : hdc around [12]
Row 5 : dec all around [6]

Now we have to join the pieces. To do this I put my crochet hook through one crochet on the big ball and then through another on the small ball, then I pull through a slip knot through those two and chain one. Then I continue half double crocheting around as normal. Once I got to the other side of the big ball, I joined the second small ball in a similar way (without having to slip knot as I already had working yarn to use). So in the end I had one connected round of 24 stitches. If that's unclear at all (I think it gets a bit easier as you do it) please let me know in the comments and I'll do my best to clarify! I did one extra round after this one and then finished off and left a long tail for sewing. Stuff the hair.

Feet (x2)

Everything is done in single crochet for the feet.

Row 1 : (in pink) MR 7 [7]
Row 2 : inc around [14]
Rows 3- 5 : sc around [14]
Row 6 : dec around [7]
Row 7 : sc around [7]

Finish off and leave tail for sewing later.
Lightly stuff them.

Arms (x2)

Everything is done in single crochet for the arms.

Row 1 : (in pink) MR 6 [6]
Row 2 : inc first stitch then sc around [7]
Row 3 : inc first stitch then sc around [8]
Row 4 : inc first stitch then sc around [9]
Row 5 : inc first stitch then sc around [10]

Finish off and leave tail for sewing.
Lightly stuff them.

Eyes (x2)

Eyes are done in single crochet.

Row 1 : (in black) MR 8 [8]
Row 2 : (in red) inc around [16]

Finish off and weave in the ends.
Using embroidery floss and a tapestry needle, embroider on the whites of the eyes.

Finally, attach the hair, feet and hands to the body wherever they feel comfortable. I used fabric glue to attach the eyes. but you are welcome to sew them on. Then I embroidered on the little curlicue and the mouth using embroidery floss, I'd recommend doing so before you finish off and stuff the body. I did not. Like an idiot haha but it still worked out, I just hid my knots underneath the eyes and the hair. I think he turned out pretty darn cute though!
